Umpiring Duties 2008It seems that some clubs are having problems providing two umpires for a fixture. Given the lateness of the decision to ask clubs to provide two umpires and given that no umpiring seminar was organised this year it has been decided by AUCUS to be a little flexible regarding teams providing umpires. This is a reminder to all clubs that in the event of a ball being hit out of the ground at Markomannenstrasse and landing in
properties surrounding the ground, players should not simply enter gardens or school
grounds withoutpermission to retrieve lost balls. These dwellings are
private property andtherefore permission should be obtained before entering

Disciplinary and Appeals Committees
Despite a number of appeals there have been no applications for the
vacant positions in the Disciplinary and Appeals committees.
As a short-term solution Marcel Biersteker will act as chairman of these
committees and Anuranga Munaweera as secretary.
